Minors
Eligibility and consent for clients aged 14 to 17.
Last updated: October 2026
Reformed Pilates Studio Emerald welcomes clients aged 14 and over to attend regular classes. We do not currently offer classes for clients under the age of 14.
Any client aged 14–17 must have a parent or legal guardian complete and sign a consent form before attending their first class. This form covers the same health screening and waiver information required of adult clients, and must be signed by the parent or guardian on the minor’s behalf.
Parents or guardians are not required to be on-site during a minor’s class. Once the consent form has been signed, clients aged 14–17 may attend classes independently.
Instructors will take age into account when guiding clients aged 14–17, including:
Photos or video of any client under 18 will only be taken or used for marketing purposes with the separate, explicit written consent of a parent or legal guardian. This consent is requested independently of the general class consent form.
All instructors who may work with clients under 18 hold a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card), in line with Queensland legal requirements. Blue Card status is checked before a staff member begins working at the studio and renewed as required.
All clients aged 14–17 must provide a current emergency contact (parent, guardian, or other nominated adult) as part of their consent form, so the studio can reach someone promptly if needed.
